Slate Hearth Stones cut to Size
We are able to Bespoke cut slate hearth stones to size from our large range of slate blanks along with many different shapes such as circles, semi circles, and even tear drop shaped hearths.
We can cut slate prices from large slabs as big as 2200mm x 1300mm right down to 900 x 600 in size.
The slate we sell is a top quality Brazilian Black smooth riven which is very very flat so no lumps and bumps to worry about.
We would recommend that for open fires (ones with no door on front) and you require a T Piece we would suggest that you have it in 2 pieces and a 30mm in thickness . For wood burners, multi fuel stoves gas and electric fire a one piece hearth would be fine in either 20mm or 30mm.

As well as cutting slate hearths to size we can also offer 3 different finishes for the edges, our standard finish is a sawn edge, but we also offer a 5mm bevel finish as well as a half bull nose. Examples of these finishes can be seen below
