What are stone cladding Corner Quoins ? and their possible uses
We are often asked what are stone cladding corner quoins and what are they used for, well in truth generally they are used as a add on to building that is either being rendered or having a stone type cladding installed on the facade. They are normally used on all 4 corners of the property to give an ascetic appearance Cladding quoins used for cladding purposes are not used structurally, they are purely decorative. They do come in a =variety of colours although we generally only have produced for us Buff ( a Cotswold Type coloured stone), Portland , Bath and Charcoal.
These cladding quoins are being used on the corners of a building that has been built using block and and then clad over with Eazyclad stone cladding veneers it finishes off the property front.
They are made in 2 different edge finishes either with a chamfered edge on them or plain square |
Corner Quoins for cladding are available in different sizes although most builders use a standard size one which is 38mm thick 215mm high with two returns the shorter one is 215mm and longer one 348mm and are attached to the sub surface using a Flexible Cement based external tile adhesive and placed so they over lap each other
