Our Grey Kandla sandstone paving is from India also some times known a dove Grey and Silver Grey . This stone colour is particularly good for brightening up darker areas of the home or patio. Comes in a project pack containing 4 sizes of stone 900mm x 600mm , 600mm x  600mm, 600mm x 300mm and 300mm x 300mm  as well as single sizes 900 x 600 and 600 x 600. The light greys and blues with some warm rustic browns give this stone a charm of its own and has a naturally surface with hand dressed edges. We have 3 defined thickness's available with this stone 18mm - 25mm - calibrated 22mm , 20mm -35mm  

Raj Green sandstone also known as York Green or Olive Green paving has a light subtle green and  light brown colouring to it. Very well suited to the British climate and traditional landscape designs Our Raj green sandstone has a natural riven surface with hand dressed edges. We carry stock of this stone calibrated and non calibrated and also in some single sizes .

Why Use Calibrated Natural Stone Paving

Calibrated Sandstone Paving and slate is a way of finishing off Flagstones and Slabs of various thickness into a standard thickness (rather like a tile) in our case 20mm or 22mm. This is mainly produced with stones from India and China .

         Theses can be used and laid on a level screed bed rather than the harder to use un-calibrated stone paving. The calibration takes place on the under side of the stone and generally you will see lines running on the underside where the machinery has been used to level it off.

          Whilst Calibrated natural stone is more expensive than standard  non calibrated most landscapers quote less for laying so you should make them aware that you are going to purchase Calibrated and if you are using it yourself you will find it much easier to use.
  
          If you are using Natural Stone Paving in a house then it is really worth using calibrated stone as you will not have to worry about the different levels when laying it .
