Slate Steps
We manufacture Slate steps and risers using a premium Brazilian Black or Grey Brazilian slate which has a very smooth naturally riven surface and is calibrated in thickness to either 20mm or 30mm in thickness for ease of laying.
These are suitable for internal or external uses and being a natural slate has good anti slip properties.
Our workshop is equipped to cut most sizes up to 2 metres long by 900mm wide in single pieces for the a grand looking garden balcony or door step as well as smaller ones for a door ledge and can finish the edges with either a clean sawn finish, 10mm bullnose, 5mm bevel or pencil edge.
Another great advantage of using natural slate for steps is they require very little maintenance a sweep with a broom every so often and the job is done.
