Is slate a good Idea for outside Kitchen Worktop surfaces 

Using Natural Slate is a fantastic material use when constructing  worktops for any exterior Kitchen or BBQ area you may be thinking of making or buying in. As slate is impervious it will ensure your worktops will not be affected by moisture and is also very easy to clean so is an excellent choice when the outside area is prone to getting damp or wet.
