Slate coping or capping stones for walls made of natural slate
Slate coping stones are also sometimes known as wall cappings and are a way of finishing off a wall made of virtually any building material such as brick or stone. Slate is very hard wearing and resistant to frost. One of the reasons why copings are used on walls is to prevent damage to the wall from weather the other mainly important reason for you looking at this is that it looks great.
To work out the amount of slate coping that you require is quite easy , you need to measure the total length of the wall to be covered and then the width in centimetres many coping will normally overhang the wall on either side by a couple of cm's but that is a personal choice.
All our slate copings are made of top quality Brazilian slate that has a naturally smooth riven surface with a choice of 2 thickness to chose from 20mm and 30mm. we can cut copings in lengths of up to 1500mm long.
