How to measure for a Teardrop slate hearth 

We are very often asked how do we measure for a teardrop Slate hearth stone that we need cutting. We have produced this short video to show the measurements that we require as producers it is really very easy all we need is the diameter of the circular part 

All our slate hearths are cut in house using premium smooth riven Brazilian black slate. They come with a sawn edge but we can put a 2mm pencil edge , 5mm bevel or approx  7mm bullnose. 

A Teardrop hearth stone is used in the corner of a room  that is on a 90 degree angle the these allow you to take up less space  against it being a rectangular shape.
