We are now cutting Bespoke Porcelain Hearths in a T-Shape. These are cut at roughly 22mm thick. They will come in 2 equal pieces up until 1200 x 900. We are now cutting Bespoke Sandstone Hearths in a T shape. These are cut using natural riven sandstone and are generally about 22mm thick.

We have always been reluctant to cut sandstone as it harder than the natural slate we generally use but we have discovered some new fantastic blades which cut very cleanly. In most cases, the hearth will come with hand dressed edges.

New Show Room for Slate hearths in HerefordWe are please to announce that we will be shortly opening our new show room in Hereford. We have had the same display area for the last 7 years or so and whilst it did its job and showed potential customers some of our products it was not the best as i'm sure many of you who visited would agree as many of the comments I had was this takes me back 50 years or so from some of the older customers . We will be displaying our hearth stones made of slate ,our range of stone cladding and brick slips as well as our Paving stone range and we will continue to cut slate steps ,coping stones and window cills . We still have the engraving machines so we may even stick one of those in there so we can engrave your house signs etc while you wait we still have to make our minds up on that one though. We have teamed up with a fireplace installer who will have a small but very nice range of wood burners on display and hopefully he will set a few up that will be live so you can see them going.
Opening hours will probably remain as they are Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 10 am to 2pm but will review this as times go's on we are the same place so no change of address . Natural Black slate steps made to measureEazyclad offer a custom cutting service for slate steps we use a Brazilian Black slate which has a smooth riven surface preventing trips but giving good grip under foot. We are often asked how hard it is to cut slate ? and to be honest generally we say give us the measurements and we will di for for so in that case its simple if you do want to trim a bit yourself then a angle grinder will do the job fine. The longest step we are able to price in one single piece is 1500mm long and the depth is 900mm and we have a option of 20mm or 30mm thick. As well as the standard sawn edges we can put a 5mm chamfer or 8mm bullnose .

This was very easily achieved and improved the appearance of the shed totally. Produced in Spain and delivered from Spain with 2 weeks which seems a record as they had to change bits over for us as well as changing it to a more powerful motor . Baby 5 is capable of cutting lengths up to 2 metres long and is fitted with a 350mm saw blade
