Do you need a slate hearth in Devon
Slate hearths seem to be very very popular in devon. We offer a bespoke cutting service for Brazilian Black and Grey slate and are able to supply many different shaped ones such as a tear drop, T shape in both single pieces or in 2 parts , circular ones as well as the standard square and rectangle.
All of our slate has a smooth naturally riven surface that come with clean sawn edges although we can put a 2mm pencil edge , 5mm bevel or 1/4 bullnose on them. We have our own cutting facilities where we have 2 cutting saws one being 3.5 metre long and another at 2.5 mts in length so cutting large slabs is not an issue we generally use either 20mm or 30mm thickness of slate for all our masonry work.
