How to cover the top of Gabion Bakets with slate copings
|
Gabon Baskets are a great way of creating a wall in many different areas of the garden this customer wanted top cover the tops of them to basically create coping stones and to give it a pleasing to eye experience as well as creating a seating area. Whilst they are quite large copings we cut them using premium Brazilian black slate in 30mm thickness and added a 5mm bullnose the edges top soften them when sitting on them.
He also built some steps using the wire gabion baskets and we cut some black slate step tops for them but these had a curve on each corner to give a that final professional look. He went with the Natural slate finish as we also supplied the Porcelain Paving slabs he had put down at the same time they are the creek wave Nero in 900 x 600 x 20mm R 11 Grade . We could have cut these for the top but he thought it may be a little bit to much of all the same thing. |
