We have been supplying Plymouth and the South West with Slate coping stones for a number of years and have recently just completed a 43 metre long wall in Tavistock. We offer a naturally smooth riven surfaced Brazilian Slate in either Black or Grey which can be produced in a large range of sizes with our own cutting facilities so cutting down on long lead times the maximum length we cut at the moment is 1500mm long but we can go up to 2.2 metres if required on our 3.5 metre saw.
Slate has been used for hundreds of years in Devon and cornwall on the tops of walls to protect them from the elements and prolong the life of it, as well as to give it pleasing appearance to the eye you can use a cheaper alternative but will it last you have to ask yourself.
We can supply coping as small as 215mm x 100mm to go on a single brick wall which are very popular up to a grand wall of 2200mm x 1200mm in 20mm and 30mm thickness which to be honest we have not done yet but if you would like more information on our Natural stone wall copings or pier caps please feel free to contact us
